The Irish Cliffs of Inishmore

$75.00

A truly dramatic scene, the waves of the sea crashing against straight drop cliffs, cliffs that are over a thousand feet high and at the top, the ruins of an ancient stone fort.

This is Inishmore is the largest of the Aran Islands in Galway Bay in Ireland

I didn't know what I would find when I took the ferry from Galway to the Aran islands. Yes, famous for its Aran sweaters and one of the last parts of Ireland considered truly Irish, still using the Irish tongue, but the scenic beauty is what set me aback.

Its a rock with moss on it surrounded by an untamed sea. It really sends you back centuries just walking past the stone structures from so long ago.
